The final copy of our special study essays are due today. After completing all of the changes suggested on my draft, I handed up my final essay yesterday. I ended up with a large amount of words over the maximum of 2000, which then had to be condensed. My final word count was 1998. I checked and double checked my referencing before handing in my final copy, so all referencing is sound. There was a slight issue in that I have imbedded quotes from primary sources in my essay, but they were found in texts, and so there was no evidence of my use of primary sources in the bibliography. However, as there is evidence of primary sources in my essay this should be adequate.
I am happy with my final essay, and believe that it meets all of the requirements outlined in the assessment criteria. I was able to hand up my final copy before the deadline, and was pleased that I had effectively used my time management skills to be prepared to submit my final essay before the deadline.
I have very much enjoyed studying the topics analysed within my special study, in particular the siginificant comparison evident between the lives of Spartan and Athenian women. I believe that it has provided me with a greater understanding of the lives of women in classical history, and has overall been a successful investigation.
